Role Responsibility

As Spacecraft Controller you will:
Monitor on a 24/7/365 shift basis the progress of the automated routine housekeeping satellite operations
Log and report routine and contingency operations
Assist in configuring and testing the operational system
Maintain internal software tools
In case of ground or space segment anomaly take corrective action as necessary, applying the contingency procedures to ensure spacecraft safety and the continuity of service
Co-ordinate the day-to-day scheduled and contingency operations in the control centre and support the mission planning schedule consolidation and generation

Required profile

Solid background in a technical discipline at least to the level of Senior Technician
Experience working with computer systems
Experience with real-time systems and procedure execution in an operational environment
Able to work calmly in high pressure conditions
Fluency in English

Considered advantageous:

Knowledge of space communication, radio frequency technologies and/or ground segment systems is an advantage
Preferably holds a degree at BSc level in a relevant subject such as IT, Telecommunications, Physics or Aerospace engineering
