In addition to having a university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline or the equivalent work experience, the applicant shall have experience in at least the following attributes:

Mandatory Skills and Experience (Per Service Team Member)

Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Experience in the field of system engineering
Experience in the analysis and generation of requirements, architectural designs, development, integration, verification, validation, operations and maintenance of ground segment systems.
Capability to prepare and maintain services specifications
Capability to prepare system requirements and design documents, and to perform system level analyses for complex satellite based systems
Experience in writing technical requirements (preferably to ECSS standards)
Knowledge of satellite ground segment system engineering and system and software life-cycles and standards
Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools (e.g. DOORS)
Experience testing coordination and execution and verification activities
High degree of working autonomy
Practical knowledge in Configuration Control

Mandatory Skills and Experience (Within Service Team)

Experience in the field of project management
Experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, control and/or closure
Capability to prepare project opening forms, project management plans, project schedules, project budget and resource plans and project closure forms
Experience in utilization of project management tools and techniques
Capability to prepare and maintain ICDs (Interface Control Documents)
Knowledge of project management processes and standards.
Experience in Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) of complex systems
Knowledge in AI/ML technologies and models and in supporting SW frameworks
Knowledge in Data distribution and dissemination
Knowledge in Ground Segment Monitoring
Knowledge in Archive systems
Knowledge in Computer systems, Network systems and IT Security
Practical knowledge in project management standards and frameworks (e.g. PMI PMBOOK, PRINCE2)
Ability to manage a service team of similar size, preferably in a similar environment to EUMETSAT

Advantageous Skills (Within Service Team)

Furthermore, it would be highly desirable for the team to have experience with or knowledge of some of the following:
Problem solving
Good analytical skills
High degree of interpersonal awareness
Experience in working as part of a multicultural team
Ability to perform regular, e.g. weekly, context switch
Practical knowledge in service based approach for defining services specifications (e.g. ITIL)
Practical knowledge in tool-based requirements management (e.g. IBM DOORs)
Practical knowledge in Model Based System Engineering (e.g. Enterprise Architect)
Practical knowledge in the definition and formalization of interfaces between complex systems
Knowledge of ECSS standards
