We are looking for an IVV Engineer with a strong system focused mindset, driven by curiosity and oriented toward solutions. The ideal candidate has solid expertise either in Ground Segment data processing or in PDAP Ground Segment Observation System, combined with a good understanding of IVV practices and Linux environments. A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in learning and problem solving are essential. The role requires someone who is autonomous, able to self manage their workload, and committed to delivering on agreed objectives. It involves working closely within an integrated team to ensure the smooth integration, verification, and validation of complex software systems.

Key Responsibilities

Perform system integration, verification, and validation activities in a Linux environment, including developing and executing test scenarios and scripts.
Support the configuration and operation of the PDAP system, including integration into the mission architecture and preparation/use of test tools.
Analyse and troubleshoot system and sub system issues, contributing to contingency reactions and operational recommendations.
Review and advise on IVV procedures, and assist in system validation activities such as data circulation tests, dry runs, and operational scenario campaigns.
Collaborate closely with developers and system teams to ensure proper functionality and understanding of architecture and configuration impacts.
Document test results, issues, configuration changes, and provide weekly activity reports.
Support Operations teams with technical questions and contribute to improving processes, tools, and testing methods.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Linux environments, including system administration, networking, and virtualization.
Experience with infrastructure services and basic packaging (Linux RPM creation is a plus).
Comfortable with command-line usage and troubleshooting system-level issues.
Programming and scripting skills: Python, Bash/Shell, C++ for integration and troubleshooting.
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools for automated test execution.
Familiarity with configuration and version control environments.
Exposure to software testing frameworks and automation tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of IVV and maintenance activities for Ground Segment Observation Systems.
Understanding of integration workflows and system-level troubleshooting.
Strong English proficiency (C1 level).
Ability to work effectively in international and intercultural teams, with good customer-facing skills.
Clear communicator able to interact with cross-functional teams.
